Worker calling with a phone using SkyVOICE

Galaxy SKYVOICE VoIP Service

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is the technology that allows customers to place and receive telephone calls over a broadband Internet connection.

VoIP virtually works the same as a standard telephone line. Galaxy provides telephone lines with a large selection of US and Canadian phone numbers, voicemail, as well as many other key features. Packages include North American coverage with both U.S. and Canadian exchanges.

Galaxy's SKYVOICE service delivers crystal clear calls over our SKYDATA network and SKYCARRIER Networks using QoS rules that prioritizes specific packets and dedicated bandwidth per line for low jitter and consistent phone calls using analogue or digital phones.

  • More cost-effective and affordable than satellite phones
  • Low jitter and latency phone calls – no breakups or static
  • Phone portability
  • VoIP solutions to any remote area that is within our coverage
  • Ability to order individual lines or trucked connections

Galaxy provides Private Branch Exchange (PBX) capabilities for remote offices VoIP phones that function on Power over Ethernet (POE).

“The voice over IP was very clear even when the Internet was under heavy usage by the rest of the crew. We always had a clear channel to communicate (with a Canadian phone number) with our crew even in a remote area, which is very important for the safety of everyone.”
