New Arctic Satellite Internet Service
Galaxy Broadband Communications Inc., a Canadian satellite communications company that provides IP networks to the Resource, Government and Enterprise markets in North America, announced today that it has launched its Enterprise HS Internet service in Northern Canada, including vast regions of the Arctic.
From the Galaxy HUB at Telesat’s Vancouver Teleport, Galaxy began transmitting today using three KA band spot beams on Anik F2 which cover Alaska,Yukon, NWT, Nunavut, northern BC, AB and SK.
“We are so proud to be delivering our services to the Arctic and providing Broadband service to the Yukon, The Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Alaska” stated RickHodgkinson, founder, CEO and President of Galaxy. “Many of our Oil & Gas and Mining customers have been asking us to expand our network and service their northern remote locations”.
